Dumb Qusetion but READ! could help you out
Yes this is stupid question but need too ask it. I have recently just got job 3months ago at a sheet metal shop. Im a helper and do helper stuff. I havent been taught too weld yet but they will be teaching me very soon.(im talking about tig welding not rod)I want too be able too do tig. Well anyways my question is what can I do too help us out? Remember this is a sheet metal shop not a machine shop so we dont have chunks of metal laying around we have sheet metal like alumminum, steel etc. Ive tried thinking of ---- but cant come up with nothing. My boss is going too be welding all my turbo stuff for me, hes the ---- at welding especially tig! But what Im saying basically is give me some ideas and if I end doing your idea I give you whatever you idea was for free(foreal honestly I will). Guys not trying too be a dick but cant provide for whole site so figured if you gave me idea I would look out for ya IM sure ya understand, or aleast hope. Well thanks in advance and go ahead with the ideas.

What is the thickest sheet you can get in aluminum and stainless?I'd buy a couple sheets if the price is right...Oh yeah, maybe you can build some manifold heat shields or precut aluminum for building a box around DSM intercoolers for air/water IC.I dont know just a thought.

Blockoff plates for when ppl pull their AC. It is a big panel that restricts air, so it goes the path of least resistance, which would in this case be the radiator.
Sunroof replacments for weight reduction?
Downpipe skid plates?
OBX sells a sheet-metal'ish increased capacity oil pan with baffles.
Just throwing out some ideas.
