DUI question
if you get a DUI and lose you lcense in one state, can you get another license in a different state?
just a random question. |
Re:DUI question
i doubt it
|
Re:DUI question
just don't get a dui in any state... that'd be my advice
|
Re:DUI question
no all states are linked.even if you have tickets you never payed for in any state, they yank your license.you cannot get one from no other state until they let you have it back.

Re:DUI question
i'm loking at some sort of interstate lcense compact and like 5 states(including georgia) don't transfer that information to other states.

Re:DUI question
Most states check the other states out (or at least a certain number of them). Would have been easy 10 years ago, but now technology has caught up and almost every DMV has some sort of nationally linked computer network.
I have heard of an international license, but that would prob cost you more then the fines and ---- of paying off a DUI |
Re:DUI question
"you" being someone else...

Re:DUI question
i have a ---- load of tickets in NY state that i got with a conditional license....so i put all the tickets off until i got my full license back and went up to CT and traded it in for one of theirs...so far i havn't dealt with any of the tickets yet but as soon as i do, i'll know if this is worth it. i figure i'm gonan drive no matter what so i atleast have something to show them ::) not EVERY state is connected though so if you have the dough for a plane ticket to some stupid state like milwakie(sp) or something try it out...---- get one in every state :P

Re:DUI question
I am not a lawyer (YET) so I can't give out straight up advice. If you have a working license in one state, yeah go get that ship duplicated in another, especially if you're about to lose state #1. Go get an underground book on this ----, might help u out some.
