dual walbro pumps

I am starting to think that I an be safe with just a single walbro, maybe I should just upgrade my fuel lines and keep a single intank.
since I've already bought the second walbro I will just keep for backup incase the one I have installed failed. I had this pump for 5 years and I bought it used off ebay, so who knows when it will go, my friend with a srt4 already been through 2 walbros already.

Food for thought.... I was at my buddies dyno shop a couple weeks back and we got on the topic of single fuel pump vs 2 or 3 fuel pumps. I had no reason to counter his reasoning about going with a single pump.

His thoughts are... When running 2 pumps to "be safe", When 1 pump fails, the other pump will still supply enough fuel so that you can melt your engine into 1 piece quite quickly and easily. Now if you were to run 1 pump and have it fail, it would go SOO lean that the engine would snuff itself out, thus causing little to no damage at all. He has expericenced both on his dyno, both as in both types of failures.

I've thought about this also before I read it on H-T from that tony1 dude..... I am going to consider it and stick to a single pump until I can run a sump setup. although my 600whp will not be daily driven. 400whp will be, I plan 400whp on 93 octane, 500whp on e85 and 600+ whp on c16. even though I don't have to daily drive my car since I have 3. I love to drive it. I am confused on a couple of subjects like ignition setups, and the single walbro v/s dual but I will figure it out.

is it beneficial to only upgrede my fuel lines to 8an and still use a single walbro?

Are you running out of fuel right now? How close are your injectors to being maxed?

I havent hit 600whp yet, so I don't know, I don't want to wait till I get there to find out.
when I blew my motor I was at 83 % injector duty cycle at 23 psi of boost not sure how much power it was, since it was a street tune pump gas afr 11.5.

255 lph (liters per hour) = 4250cc per minute.

If you are maxing out 4 1000cc/min injectors at 100% duty cycle...figuratively you cant max out the flow of that pump.

I doubt upgrading your lines will do anything...its like upgrading your fuel rail because you think the stockers don't flow as well as an aftermarket

I'll take it since you are an experienced tuner, and know what you are talking about, I'll save myself some money and time and stick to one pump until I need to upgrade.
