Damn nice find...I'm jealous as hell, always had a soft spot for the old-school, and that thing is in great shape too.

Do you have any way of fullscreening those damn videos? None of the fill screen double size etc options do anything.

ive been thinking about making the videos larger, and having only 3 collumns... probably will do that.

here is the original video...

What's up, fellas?! I'm new here...I just joined only a few short minutes ago after I saw the thread on "DSMs".

Conquest's / Starion's are good cars if taken care of. I had 2 of them...an '87 and an '88. My '88 had a full 3" exhaust system, 20g turbo, 284* cam, SAFCII, walbro 255, 2 secondary injectors and jet valve elim. kit, full hard piping(IC, turbo) and it ran very strong at 18-20psi. Wish I still had it!

Sold it to put the cash into my '95 Eagle Talon AWD. Mods are still basic with a 1g DSM 14b turbo thats been ported and wastegate welded shut to run an SBR cast manifold and 38mm tial wastegate, FMIC, 3" Megan downpipe to custom 4" catback, safcII, GM 3" MAF/MAFT, six puck sprung clutch, fuel mods and about 22psi all the way up to my 7K redline. Gettin' ready for a Bullseye T04b turbo at 20psi.

BTW, Starions and Conquests are not DSM's. They were made in Japan, not the US. Some were Imported to the states by Chrysler and given the name Conquest but are all 100 percent made in Japan.

As far as crankwalk is concerned, it's not as common as you think. It only happens to a very small percentage of DSM's. I have over 100K miles on my motor and no sign of crankwalk. ;)

Yeah, the small percentage of 7 bolt owners who are stupid enough to waste time and effort on anything except a 6 bolt swap. :-*

You can prevent crankwalk on the 7-bolts with a few easy tricks. Eliminate the balance shafts and oil squirters, avoid heavy PP's, and do regular oil changes. My friends was running strong with 18k miles, a centerforce clutch, and a GT35R until the differential blew up.
