without knowing anything about either cars I would automatially bet on the dsm beating the vette, so what its a vette with a supercharged v8. I had a supervisor with a 97 vette all this bolt ons and all this ----.. I smoked this mother with a stock turbo civic at 5 psi my first turbo setup, my friend with a nissan 240 beat him in every race...

Seeing a 4 cylinder beat a v8 is never acceptable to most people.Ams built a Evo here in Florida that has only lost to a nitrous bike and a 8 sec drag camaro. He has beat like 4 700+hp 03-04 Cobras, blown Zo6,juiced cam heads ls1's,and hung with a blown brand new viper. All the local v8 guys want a shot at him but with his new Gt42r and a harder nitrous shot he's prob around the 800hp range now.Like someone posted in this thread dump alot of money into something and it will go fast.

Which is like my CRX, as it was, at 300 whp. Or as it sits now, after several drunken sawzall/holesaw/lexan sessions, at 250 whp... Slowbras are 3800 lb pigs, y0. Makes for a really stable ride, launchable IRS setup, awesome high speed stability... but the tin can effect wins everytime.

the "slobra" realy isint slow or much of a pig compaired to how much motor they give you to the weight. 4.6 liters to 3800 pounds. 826 pounds per liter? lets say you have a crx lightend to 1650 pounds and have a b18whatever, thats 916 pounds per liter you would need a b20 to compete with it in weight to liters, i know i just made that all of that up and its the actual power that counts. but well over 1000hp can be made on the 03 cobra blocks. stock longblock, wich is pretty rare for a v8 since most of them need alitle headwork to push thoes numbers. so lets say you have the b18whatever making 300wheel horseys and the cobra making 1000ponys the cobra would yeild a weight to power ratio of 3.8 where as the b18 crx would be at 5.5. no harm intended, just felt the need to defend the slobra. and if the cobra was making 700hp flat it would still have a lower power to weight ratio than the previously mentiond crx.

No, I see where you're coming from... but...

Specific output of the Cobra 4.6 with blower removed vs a Honduh B-series, per liter? I'd have to guess the Honduh makes more power. I know for a fact my 1900+lb B18B CRX with .60/.63 T3 @ 9 psi hung dead even against Jake's 474 whp '03, neither car pulling even an inch on the other at any point in time, during repeated pulls. One was from 2nd gear almost to the top of 5th. Identical power curves and power to weight.

1000 whp stock engine Cobras are only a little more common than 500 whp stock GSRs. Which puts us at 3.3 with the CRX... since this is bench racing who really cares? but you see how it can be argued.

Most the Cobras I see that are at all serious are in the 7-800 range. Ported blower setup w/ pulley and bolt ons + 200 shot, the usual combo. I doubt I'd ever take one from a dig in my CRX, even if the Cobra owner messed up his launch a bit. Second gear on? I'm pretty confident in my car and the power to weights.

Now, the SBF in the GT6, when the rear suspension gets sorted, should hand out all sorts of ***.
