Driving record

I need to find a way to access my driving record to see if i have any points on it because i got pulled over but i dont know if i am going to have to go to a sclass for it or not. I was doing 51 in a 30 w/o a seatbelt when i was pulled over. i was trying to catch up to the car infront of me cause my speedo is broke, and i was just down the stree from where i was comming from to where i was going. he said he was going to give me a break and something about not obeying a traffic control device or something a wrote me a $112.50 ticket. anyone have any info?

yes you will get a point cause you were not wearing a seat belt and were going 20 over the desinated speed limit :-\

The seat belt ticket doesn't give you any points. I've gotten like 57 of them. ::) Fuckers......

If the cop wrote it up as "Waist of an infinate resource" or some ---- like that, then it shouldn't give you any points. Your best bet is to call the number on the ticket and ask them. You could always go to traffic school. In alot of states you can do it online. Do a search...

He dropped the seatbelt charge right there, and i am looking at the ticket and he x-ed violation of a traffic control device and under other violations he wrote speeding 51/30. the ticket is 112.50. this is in florida. i asked a local office that i know and he said i wouldnt get any points but that i just need to pay the ticket but he didnt see the whole ticket so i dont really know.

The only bad thing about that is they might find the new ticket and raise his rates.

call the dmv, they should be able to get you a copy of your driving record. they usually charge you by the page for the copies.

Re:Driving record

dont call your insurance company..

reason being, they dont alway know when you get a new ticket. they usually just check your records every once in a while (usually when u renew). if you call and ask, that will give them a reason to update. for example, ive been pulled over like 12 times, arrested once and have like over 30 tickets and my insurance only knows about 2 of them.

go to the dmv, or the clerk of the courts and ask for a copy of your driving record, its $3.70 in florida.

there it is, go to your local dmv and ask for a prinout of your driving record, it'll be like 5 bucks, that's what I did. Or better yet when you go pay your ticket ask if you can take traffic school for the violation and if they do it'll be good. Either way a speeding ticket will get you points.
