That 20b sounded wicked. Like a ------- wicked loud weedwacker. Rotaries have a sound all their own.

There is no need to hate on rotaries just cause people can't tune. Rotaries are way more reliable than piston engines. There are only 9 parts that can fail. The problem is that if any of the nine fail it's a total rebuild. Were as in a piston not all failures require a rebuild. Rotaries tend to fail every 150,000 miles as opposed to a boinger's 75,000 mile mark. Once a rotary is stacked there's no valves to have to be adjusted. No timming belts or chains that can break and gernade the engine. The only problem with rotaries is that they need to be tuned differently than a piston and most people don't know how to properly tune them and POP! FD's got a bad rep cause the run lean from the factory for peak power. Then you go and add an intake an exhuast and look 4 more psi, the engine isn't tuned for that with the factory ecu so exhaust temps go up when your AFR's are 15:1 @10psi heat builds and detonation pops seals. If a rotary is in the hands of a capable tuner they can make serious reliable power. My buddie has a 720rwhp 12a that is street legal in Cali...
