downpipe bolts tight as hell

Default downpipe bolts tight as hell

today i decided to start the proyect going and started by taking the manifold and downpipe out, so i started loosing everything up and when i got to the downpipe screws they are insanely tight! i used a big 1/2 socket ratch about 14 '' long and still wasnt enough, these ***** are really tight and rusty so i let them soaking in wd-40, any of you guys had this problem?

yeah, they expand and contract a whole lot. get a torch and some pb blaster.

Yeah alot of the bolts that connect to the turbo (mainly the exhaust housing and center section) get pretty rusted and will get stuck over time. Good thing you didn't snap any. Keep them soaked in the WD-40 and give it a try. If it still doesn't work try a set of torches. Heat usually will get them loose.

The wd 40 should work. The torch will definately work. Even using a 14" it might not be enough, find you a piece of metal tubing to extend it even more, or get a breaker bar, they work miracles

yeah pb saved my butt a couple times but wd was all i had as today, if that doesnt help i might just go buy a cheap o mapp gas torch

if you dont have a torch. and wd40 doesnt work.

get a pencil. spray some wd 40 on the tip. light it with a lighter. let it burn a little. and spray the wd40 move the pencil into the spray and you got urself a homemade torch.
make sure you wear some sunglasses

if its small enough maybe put it in the oven and get it good and hot
