i use torrent all the time, i usually download it then burn it so i can watch it on the big screen

If your at just about any college/university, try to download i2hub. It is by far better then any bittorrant BS.

oth.net is a killer ftp search, most servers are ratio so make sure you have good up and down bandwidth.

nothing free?... i was looking more for ftp sites, oth looked and seemed good until i noticed you more less gotta upload several gigs before even getting to download a file

while wer'e on the subject, where's a good place to download music FREE?? i use to do bear share and kazaa lite and all that ----, but i can't do it at work now and that's where i dl most of my music from since our connection is so fast here.........

I use Ares, pretty damn good, just like kazaa, no spyware or adware.
