Double thick Civic radiator

Just a post to see if there is any interest in Civic half radiators with the two row core(1 1/4" thick) for $105 shipped. These are good quality Modine, units not that made in Indonesia crap you get at Advance auto. We will be offering them with aluminum end tanks also but they will cost more. For the guy on a budget with a boosted civic this should be just the ticket.
Let me know what you guys think. If there is enough interest we could get a group buy going and get the price down even lower.

I'm sure these radiators are very nice, but no need to dis the $80 Vatozone dual core, been running one for 1.5 years no probs

Re: Double thick Civic radiator

id like one, but only when i ge my tracktion bar, cuz my stock crossmember dosen like those rads, wont fit inbetween th hood, but maybe make it like 2" thick? or even 1.5" thick... for better cooling, in my old teg i had a fluidine and it took along time for it too warm up, but its very expencive, so if u made a nice all alum core id buy one...

i think you would get a lot of interest if you made them shorter to fit 88-91 Civic/CRX properly. i'd gladly pay $20-30 more for that than using a reg 1/2 size and having to make it fit.

you could prob hustle the donkees on HT for $200+ easily :6

You can get them for almost half of that on ebay now brand new. I scored mine for like 50 shipped from some ebay business and was the exact same as the oem dual core. Had it for two years and still does great. Think your better off on HT or trying something else.

i have the dual core in my gsr/EG hatch. ---- takes HELLA long to warm up all the way. like, 5 minutes at least. i was alarmed the last time i went into my buddies EF hatch when it warmed up in like 2 minutes. he was like "uhh, that's normal"

you should also mention that they come with a seperate cooler great for tranny fluid (what they were used for) or OIL, great for pre-turbo cooling :8

Re: Double thick Civic radiator

i have a 2.25 thick all aluminum ebay radiator and that ---- is efficient as hell.

If I'm on the freeway going 55 or 65 and let off the throttle when going down a hill, in about 20 seconds the temp needle starts dropping. It was way cold out tonight and it dropped all the way to C.

Not gonna let it do that again, I was just kinda shocked and wanted to see how low it would go. Hopefully once I'm boosted that will help me stay around operating temp.

These will be on the web site soon and in the For Sale section if anyone wants one. Sounds like I need to look into the 88-91 Civic market more. Let me see what I can find.
