Don't you love it when your home built motor doesnt bite it first off?

I have blown so many motors it IS funny. But all in one wagon.

So now with this new built motor in my new daily devil, I am grinning ear to ear. It starts on the first turn of the key. It idles (well, high, but it idles, I dont want to ---- with the IAC right now), it runs and drives SMOOTH, as if factory. It goes fast, it goes faster, sometimes even faster.

And best of all?

It hasnt blown up yet! :o ;D :o

This motor is running awesome and makes me doubt the wiring/ecu in the reddevil. How could I blow so many motors in that and have this wagon be so close to perfect (I am now running around knocking on wood!).

The dailydevil is running about 14 psi (which in Subie power is only maybe 220 whp if lucky, damn yoiu 480 whp 10 psi hondas!) but I have hit 20psi and no obvious detonation! I have a separate car fund and need to sell an investment so I can rent an hour on the dyno! The motor feels so tight I am pretty sure I can get about 275whp out of it.

KNOCKING ON WOOD!

Is knocking on wood what is necessary for a reliable engine?
