help with EG heater core asap.....its cold outside and my windows keep fogging
I CANT GET MY HEATER CORE OUT.(93 si)...i have the dash pulled and from what i know everything unbolted i took the stuff off the fire wall so its just the two little copper pipes stickin out...although the only bolts/nuts that i could really find to take out were the two on the top of the whole heater box.....those gold lookin ones....its at the point now that its just kinda wiggleing around like its being held in by those pipes....is there something else im not noticing?....

Just cut the pipes as close as you can to the core, the pipes will stretch enough to refasten them to the new core, they are a ---- to get off, almost impossible!

i must not have clarified.....i took everything off of the fire wall, but the two copper pipes from the heater core out to the fire wall ......i have everything else off.....i started taking apart the heater box....but i cant get the actual black box off of the inside firewall...........THE ONLY thing i did on the inside was take off the top nuts that hold the heater box on....and i started unsnapping those little clips that are all over the heater box...but they havent been really doing anything.....and the way the core is positioned i dont see how those things coming off would even help the situation......the freakin thing wiggles around like crazy it seems like the only thing holding it in are those pipes sticking out the firewall (copper heater core pipes...not the black heater hose).....if you have any knowledge on the situation please throw in your two cents i want to have this done by tomarrow.....like i said its really cold and foggy in my car all the time i live in pa.......

as far as i read, there is a 12mm nutbolt that u have to loosen on the firewall near by the cooper hoses
