Cheap JD? What's your definition of cheap? If they're in good shape, even with a v6 people ask 2500+ around here... it sucks. I do love those cars though. Former step-dad has one, an 83 with a built 350 to ~400 hp, its a beast. Shame, he won't take it to a track, as much as I want him to make even one pass.
