at the very minimum. Sometimes I let the ben sit for like 5-10 minutes cause I go off and do something else. I will admit that sometimes I just take off within 10 seconds of starting the Honda.

+1 i figure if the MUCH loved d17a1 in my 02 coupe starts blowing blue smoke or losing comp then i will just have to front the bill for a upgraded d17a2 single cam vtec or just dish out the 2k for a k24.

I don't understand your logic.
I bashed you for having a ---- load of post and your rebuttal was that fact that I understated your actual amount of 17000.

blue car...cold, i let sit for about a minute, then i drive in just first gear, with light throttle, mainly alot of coasting downhill for the first 1/2 mile, then i have to peddle it just right for the main road acceleration, after it is warm, i pretty much get in & go, by the time the trans realizes to go in gear, the oil pressure built up anyways

race car...cold...peddle it to keep running (remember kiddies its carbureted & has no driveability aids like EFE, EGR, etc etc), let idle for about 2-3 minutes (5-10 in winter), then drive easy...tho one time i did just hop in & go, left hellachous marks on the driveway & 1/2 way down the street, at the bottom of the neighborhood & leaving the neighborhood.......glad i don't live at home anymore, anyways when warm, i fire it up, take my time with the seatbelt, & wrestling my broken ratchet shifter, then i'm off

I let it idle for about 20 seconds to make sure it's completely oiled, then I just drive off but I give it light throttle and low revs until water temp is up to 70C and oil temp up to 60C.
