Default Do M&H slicks need tubes

I am thinking of getting some 13x8.0x22 slicks from mh, I was wondering if you need to run tubes with these?

Try their site yet??

I had some MT ET/DRAG 22" slkicks and they did NOT require tubes... I dont think those do either...

The 24.5s and ---- your supposed to, but ive heard of people not using them there too...

enlighten my dumb *** self and sorry to sound retarded, but would a tube in a slick negate some of the sidewall flex that the tire was designed for?

Maybe but it would be offset by being able to run lower pressure without having to worry about the bead falling off the rim.

if i made the rules.. the world would be a dfifferent place... LOL.
when youre only running 8-10 psi... with lots of tq, you can actually spin the tires on the rims, or even break the bead... Tubes are safer...

That's why lots of big drag racers drill holes in their wheels and put screws through them and into the bead of the tire. To keep the bead on the rim and keep the rim from spinning in the wheel.

Never run tubes. they pop if you spin the bead. and they never come off the rim!

well, I had figured that they were optional, because Mickey Thompson slicks of the same size apparently do not require tubes.
The reason I asked was because they recommend tubes. Check the link below:

I didn't feel like shelling out the additional $50/tire for tubes.:P
