DIY oil catch can for $20.00

instead of having to drain oil every now and then, can you not just route a line to your oil return with a T, it woule drain itself, as long as the catch can is higher than the return.

I use one and it seems to work fine...........I got mine off ebay for 6 bucks

where do i put the vaccum line thats supposed to got to "pre turbo" if im running a mesh screen (yah n00b question F you)

It would work but do you really want to drain all that dirty *** oil back into your engine?

I need to make some kind of catch can soon, right now I am running a 90deg fitting where the PCV valve used to be and a hose from there to the ground. I want to connect it to a breather tank like the moroso one, but they are so expensive...

I'd like to know how the above can was made... I would like to try something similar, but I want to attach a small breather filter to the top so it can breathe...

if you ever drain the oil out of a catch can and see how it looks, you will never wana drain that thing back into the engine.

yea, its mostly unburnt fuel and some oil. you definitely dont want that going back into the pan
