Not totally do it yourself but for the cost I may dive into it. Anyone have any experince who have dealt with them. Its a reach but hey its worth a try. They are local to me so I may just check out in person. Im gonna wait for JD to do a a nice post :) |
Re: DIY Flowbench
Cool that is pretty affordable. You do alot of head porting?I would actually try some if I had a flowbench to verify I was making gains.

Re: DIY Flowbench
I have been porting forover 5 years and have had a couple of my heads/manifolds on benchs before but having one myself would be nice.

Re: DIY Flowbench
There are a bunch of inexpensive setups in that pricerange, I think some of them are a little better buy. I found a place that had a lot of customer and offsite feedback... might try to see what they guys on the speedtalk forum have to say aout the subject, I think that was where I was getting the offsite feedback.

Re: DIY Flowbench
maybe I'm retarded, but what about a reverse flow flowmeter? Apply a constant pressure to the intake side and measure flowrate with a hotwire MAF. You may not be able to compare your numbers to data from another flow bench, but it would do well for measuring improvement. Plus the only parts you need are an air compressor w/ regulator, an old manifold, a hot wire MAF & simple controller, and some random tubes.
