dirt track civic

going to be helping a buddy build a dirt track car , rules are,
must apear stock to the inspecter's
cant be dohc
cant be vtec
cant be turbo
cant be awd

plans are
to prolly be running a d15b7 block with a a6 or some other 16 valve head , port the ---- out of the head, get a regrind cam run uber or throw a chip in it to rev the piss out of it, couple question i had was what piston would be good to run to get a few more ponies ?? like z6 maybe?? not sure if there the same bore ill check it out in a few, also plan on runnig a y8 im with a ls throttle body a crx si air box, the only thing im wondering is the tranny it out of like a 93 cx .. the tranny that second gear takes you to like 75-80, should we run a z6 tranny or would that one do alright ?>?

what about some spray. not much. just like a 50 shot. if you hide everything well it will look completely stock. especially since the factory whale penis intake will be in there. and get you an old d-series si tranny. best geared trannys hondas ever come out with. buddy of mine swapped a gsr into his coupe(same model as mine). both full interior. and i beat him with that tranny on a z6(both stock motors). 2nd and 3rd are perfect for something like what your looking for

Already been done, Jeff's A6 Wheeze... He was building it for the same reason at first, so check that build out.

yea i checked that out, i think since its an 8valve block im going to put 16 valve pistons in it with a 16 valve head, cant run an si tranny becouse its cable drivin and this is a 95 4 door .. as far as the spray goes i know how to hide it but you can hear the difference and we'd prolly get black flagged first time we sprayed ;) ... it should be pretty decent for 100 whp ;D

yea im sure we will mill the head ... with the head milled a thinner cosmetic h/g and the higher c/r 16 valves pistons it should be somewhat zippy

Somebody muttered something about ZC 4th and 5th being shorter than the other trans.... Then mentioned to combine them.
