Default Diif between B and D series engine harnesses

OK so whats the difference between a B series vtec engine harness and a D series vtec engine harness? The reason im asking is i have a 92 xv hatch with a B16A2 swap. The vx engine harness is kinda hacked up and i have a spare Z6 engine harness from a 94 ex hatch that is in pristine shape and i am wondering if i can use that one. Also if i can use it then will i still need to rewire the oxygen sensor? The vx had a 5 wire o2 sensor and the ex did not. So by using the ex harness it has the 4 wire plug on it already. So then would i still need to change any wiring at the ecu for the o2 sensor? The main reason im asking is that i have a check engine light for a code 15 and after testing the components outlined by honda for that code they all seem to be functioning fine and i am almost sure it is a wiring problem in my hacked vx harness. Any help would be great guys amd thanx in advance.

Its always suggest to keep the same harness with the chassis...so ideally you would want to get a harness for the extact same year and model to be on the safe side since most of the harnesses vary slightly and will cause you more of a wiring mess...

Before you go and rewire everything did you swap a new/known to be good ECU..

We had a car through code 4 constantly and ran like ---- replaced timing belt since it was warn and had 3 different dizzys..ran new wires and always had code 4, swapped in anoher ECU the car ripped and no code, just a suggestion

Code 15
Ignition Output Signal
missing or defective ignition output signal

I'd try a new ignition maybe? Or just try running your own temp wire to see if that fixes it...

yea i tried replacing the ignition controll module (igniter) that didnt change anything. i went to the local honda dealer and i got the Flow chart from the service manual and i followed it to the letter. the only thing is i do not have the corect voltage across pins A21 and A26 at the ecu. service manual says i should have around 10v and i only have about 5.9v. so it them says to trace the wiring and fix an open or short in the wiring. well i am going out of my mind since i have traced a bunch of wires and cant tell if i am doing it right or not. the local dealer does not want to work on it due to the swap and i am running out of ideas.
