because most people grow into a turbo setup. so before they go turbo they want a decent N/A motor and buy a Vtec one. same reason why you don't see too many LS swaps. and have you ever seen an H23 swap?

not answering yoru question buit I remember seeing some jackass magazine article on some turbod vtec car. they discussed the advantages of vtec, then ran the car on the dyno normal then disconnected the vtec solenoid and ran it.
then the......"oohhhh, vtec is good for 75hp on a turbo'd car" I remember laughing. morons.

the bigger cam of the vtec is better to flow more air for the turbo. my personal opinion is that if I was building an all out race engine I'd get a non-vtec head and just put bigger cams in.

They just make more power. Development for them has been x10 compared to non vtec set ups.

all stock honda rods will break.

kyle, you're right, but you do it a different way, you still use the Vtec head, but you use a Vtec delete system, basically it is always on the big lobe (because ther is no little lobe anymore, which is a big mother ****** lobe in that sense

arent you better off going with a straight big lobe came but in a vtec head cause they flow better
