Did a lot of work this weekend...much nicer now

Well this weekend was a very very busy one for me. On friday I put larger injectors in the sunfire which made a big difference. My egt's are way down and I am definitly running richer. I worked on saturday until 6 and after that I did a full brake job that I was in desperate need of. New pads, rotors and adjusted the back shoes since they were still good.

On sunday I rerouted my charge pipe so it didnt touch my hood making it stick up. It also no longer touches the brake fluid resovoir. I also put my IAT sensor in my charge pipe which I had to extend for it to reach that far. All in all it was a very productive weekend I just wanted to share. Oh I also installed a boost controller and I'm now running 6psi instead of 4.... Much much nicer. I love the 1g dsm bov, that things pretty loud.

Since you are quite the painter.. why not just paint your IC pipes the same color as your car? it would hide those welds, and match everything up real nice ;D

1g dsm bov's are very loud, and perfect for the HMT kits!

Jeff time has been the only factor there and it will be taken care of this winter :)

I wont base/clear them but I'll definitly paint them, probably silver

Haha, those charge pipes had me confused for a second. ::) I gotta stop thinking every car is a Honda. Glad to see you improving on your work and bumping the psi up a bit. ;)

I'm not sure how your Sunfire works but it looks like a VW where the exhaust comes off the back of the motor? If so, why did you mount the BOV on the charge pipe before the intercooler? I thought the best spot was less than 12" away from the throttle body which would be the other pipe in that picture where your IAT is?

Stan,

Yes the exhaust side on my engine is towards the firewall. I've seen people mount their BOV's befrore and after with little difference. I did it there because I had the room, I didnt have any on the other pipe. Yes the yellow wires going to the charge pipe just before the TB is where my IAT sensor is now located....

You have no idea lol...its a very very tight fit. The charge pipes were not easy either. Actually nothing was easy lol but all well worth it
