diamond racing wheels
Hi,
For those of you that have ordered from these guys before, what kind of lead time are we lookin' at? I am thinking of some 13's with a 5" backspace with some 22x8.0x13 slicks. |
Re: diamond racing wheels
those bastards are heavy, require special lugs, not hubcentric (PITA to balance on newer machines.
After all is said and done, Lenso's win. |
Re: diamond racing wheels
I've been looking into lensos as well.
Where is the best/cheapest place to purchase them?? |
Re: diamond racing wheels
The problem with Lenso's is that they look fancy.
Steelies FTW! |

Steelies FTW! http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/6/17219021078.jpg I'd like to preserve the stock look. Maybe I can screw on some hubcaps! |
Re: diamond racing wheels
Diamond's come in 0.135", 0.095", and 0.065", with only the 0.135" being DOT-legal. The last set of Diamonds I saw were 13X8's, they were not heavy at all, but I dunno whether they were 0.095" or 0.065" pieces.

Re: diamond racing wheels
They would be for track use only.
According to the Diamond Racing site: "The 13" spun rim shells are also .075" thick and the 14" spun shells are .095" thick." I guess they are a bit heavier than Lensos. it also says this: Most 4 lug and non-race hubs are drilled 9/16" for use with 1/2" studs. |
Re: diamond racing wheels
All you need is a mullet and the number of your favorite nascar driver and you set. Those things look like stock car wheels. But they are cheap considering the choices you have.
