Wow. It sounds like this game has changed A LOT. I used to play right after LOD came out. On USEAST, I had a lvl86 Barb that was my favorite. I had a ton of Mule characters with every decent set and unique item there was. I could take a new char from 0 to mid 80's in a day. That was like 5 years ago when I was unemployed and could spend all day doing nothing but playing that game. I might have to load it back up.

I just stopped for the 5th time a few months ago and sold my account, but if enough peopel want to get on some hc ladder I may rejoin the addiction. here's what I had when I quit:
lvl 89 hc ladder javazon guardian: upgraded titans, water walks, and t gods, soj, carrion wind, jav gloves blah blah blah she had dual leech and a lvl 41 lightning fury. (hft, anni etc etc...)
two lvl 80s guardian barbs both hc ladder as well
an account of hc ladder mules...
I used to play that game waaay too much, now I like spending that time on my car.

and the nice thing is in v 1.10+ its personalized, so it says under Holy Thunder "Pauls Devine Scepter"
