Man renr, I'm gonna have you build my stock motor, cause you make a stock block soooo stock. :P But yeah, he's got a stock block which make it all the more amazing.
hehehe... i know what the *mod* is... it's amazing what kinda super cool stuff APC makes. I just hope I don't slip, cause APC air synthesizer/water vaporizer is the shiznik! I'm definitely gonna pick up one or a couple of those. |

The thing that sucks about proper tuning is that your not going to just melt something, your going to throw a rod through the block cause of too much power. So one time your going to be driving and your going to hear that lovely sound of schrapnel flying. D-series motors are worthless.

theyare worthless and thats y i love em. i can get a shortblock at the junk for 50 bux and their always available. IMO i think they are better than b's. im on my second motor and only because i found the y8 for cheap in about 2years time. my homie is on his third b series because he has blown the rods on the first two in the same time period. im sticking to d's no matter what. ;D

I can attest to the power of the D... My d16y7 has held .9 bar many times... and is still running strong... for some reason the 96+ D-series seems to be stronger than the 88-95... don't hear of to many going out... and that's with big nos shots as well as turbos and hi-revving...

use the da6a6 intake manifold and do the mpfi swap. theres no need to convert to obd1.

im just adjustin at the wastegate. ive used those cheap ass boost controller before but i get boost creep with them so i just do it the hard way.

ill probably spend some time tommorow and tune this bitch right.... rework the charge piping.... so it wont come loose ever again.... and ---- with the wastegate ... i had an idea... well actually 2.... i was thinking about using the wastegate actuator... and adding a carb spring in there... and ---- with the tension on it untill it hits 9psi reliably...
or just poke some small holes with a needle in the vacuum line to the actuator in order for it to bleed some pressure so it stays closed a little longer... I guess both of these ideas are gonna take a little trial and error to get right... but it sucks not beeing able to go past 5psi.... oh wait theres a 3rd option... you know how some SAAB's come with that electronic boost controlling solenoid thingamajig that can regulate it depending on how hard your driving it or something... might get one of those and ---- with it... |

that saab thing sounds liek a good idea. maybe u can make a hmt style electronic boost controller!. you can also put a check valve on the line going to the wastegate and that will add aobut 3-4 psi, instead of poking wholes on the lines.
dam that saab thing is worth lookin into. your a fucken genius. |

scarecrowx has a prototype ready for a electronic boost controller, I'll get the schematics from him asap and make them available to the public. then you won't have to bother with saab crap.
