about the recruiting side, I wish I could just do trial run for a year or so. instead of 3.

Re: DECISION HELP
Being a product of parents who remarried numerous times and are both on their 3rd marriages spending long periods of time, long meaning around a month is well trouble. Females need attention aka some form of what they call LOVE and will go out and find it. You leave for more than 3 months I will bet your wife finds someone else and you end up in divorce court while her new MAN supports taking your extra money you make now.

I'm not you, but it would seem to be a no brainer to me. F U C K that ----.
-Recruiters are scumbags. Lying to meet the quotas, calling 18 yr old kids who don't want to be called, etc...
I'd never be able to be a "good recruiter" by military standards and sleep at night. Especially knowing that if i wasn't meeting the quota, I've moved to a country where my family isn't, only to be sent somewhere else or back shortly there after.

Re: DECISION HELP
My cousin has been recruiting since he got back from overseas and he really likes it. But on the other hand he hasn't had to relocate to do it. Right now is the best time for recruiting though cause it's the only job with real job security at the moment. If I get fired/laid off I'm joining as long as my fiance feels that she can be a full time mom. (not her blood son and his real mom doesn't see him) I'd say go for it as long as you get decent amounts of leave and you family can come visit whenever they want.

The pulling out of Iraq will boost sales. I think like most teenage kids are proably ignorant to the world and things like recessions. Economy sucks but unless your already kinda set on the military unemployment isnt going to make you want to join. I went through ROTC in high school to make sure if I went in the military if it was the right path I learned quickly it wasnt for me. I think recruiting is the same way. Your not going to flip someone on the choice unless they are already on that path.
That being said I would think the job would suck dealing with 17 year old kids all day long, wait I already do that.
