Deceptive Advertisement from SSautochrome
Gang,
I am new but i am sure you heard of my site www.lextreme.com. I got a GT35/40R from the ebay infamous ssautochrome and here is a page i wrote on them. http://www.lextreme.com/ssautochrome.html
Here are couple of things I think you should think twice before bidding on their turbos:
* Brand New is NOT brand new. Its used and recondition parts. False advertisement
* Listed as 82mm but its actually 76mm. Measured with a caliper: False advertisement
* Brand New: but yet the compressor wheel grinds
* Brand New: compressor wheel misalign
* Wastegate included: Yes its included but doesn't work with the current turbo. Doesn't matter how you rotate it, it doesn't fit. The picture on this page shown it attached to the waste gate but it didn't bolt onto the turbo. Its basically is useless. You will need a complete actuator and a bracket in order to make it work.
By the way, I do have a HMT for my Lexus LS400

Yeah but its nice to see proof why they suck. Its another thread to point to when people defend these Chinese pieces of ---- products

I swap out to GT40 with Precision .68 A/R I am also doing this project Twin Turbo Lexus SC400 with Tundra Motor (4.7 Iron Block) Money is little tight but i have the custom pistons and chevy rods and other things already. I just need to take this motor to my engine builder to put it together.

That is looking like a bad *** project you have on the go.Keep us updated on that if you have the time.It is nice to see you are willing to be the one to do the R&D on the Toy V8's as I think they are a great untapped source for turbo builds.
