well you see, this is good info. you probably got approved for about $500 right? then after you get a tank of gas or 2 on the card, then pay the $10 bill you get a few times, you will be able to call them and they will say, hey travis, just because you paid your bill on time, we will give you a $1500 credit limit. then you will be like hell yeah! then you will buy new ---- for your car, then you will get a $300 bill, and you will be like ohhh ----! i cant pay that. and then, from that point on, life as you know it will suck, and you will have no money for turbo parts or beer or bitches or anything.

ohh wait. this is my problem.

Hey cool, looks like we have one more thing in common. :D I give it another year(which would make me 24) and I'll be filing. I've got to pay my bike off and transfer the title to my mom and then file. I don't want them trying to take my bike away. :-\

lol, nice man. Actually, just yesterday I got a Mastercard and Visa too ::) People don't think I suppose.. I'll be doing the same as you, buying small ---- and paying it off in full, getting good credit. Even my sister said "I'll use this credit card for emergencies". Next thing you know, her $1000 limit is maxed out :-X Doh!

Good luck with it man, don't be stupid ;)

Re:debt here i come

I know you guys all say you're just going to buy small things and pay it off each month, but that's what I thought too. I was doing good for about a year, but they kept raising my limit and I saw that as an opportunity to spend more money. Now I have $17,000 worth of credit card debt. The minimum payments total around $500, which doesn't even move the total balance. If I were ta pay the minimum payment each month, it would take a good 15 years to pay off, so in order to get anywhere I would have to pay around $750 each month just to TRY to get it under control. Does that sound like fun? Watch yourself and watch what you buy. Don't spend the money thinking it's ok since you have time to pay it off and you have available credit. That will only ---- you in the ass in the long run. Keep it under control. This can't be stressed enough. You can think you're going to be resposible as much as you want, but thinking and doing are two different things. Don't say you weren't warned. :P Welcome to 90% of the American population which is in debt out of it's ass. ;)

haha, I've seen what debt does to people and I sure as hell don't want any part of it. My sister is in semi-deep, my step-father's ex-wife maxed out all the cards (and you know how the justice system works.. yeah, he got stuck with the ---- she still owns ::)).. I'll buy some small things, and maybe (just maybe) will buy something more than $30 on it. But I don't count on it :D

Re:debt here i come

im 27 yrs old, I never had a credit card and any type of credit when I got my first house. All I did is show them my income and the bills that I did pay. You just have to make sure that you don't have BAD CREDIT. Like not paying your phone bill on time or stupid shiet like that. Take care of all your parking tickets no matter how small they are. That is what is going to haunt you if you want good credit. I just got my second house and had no problem getting approved for it.

So all that BS about you need to have a credit card to build up your credit is not true. And I know that for a fact. 98ctr

PS: if you get your credit card, just be carefull.

i'm tired of reading, but I just wanted to say credit cards own me! Toys, school, rent, car, every mutha ------ god damn thing= credit cards.

Oh and you say you'll pay it off at the end of the month, goodluck. At the end of the month you wil have 500 to pay it off or for a deal you came up on that you can't pass up. Or you just keep on spending, cause it seems like you have even more cash than you do. ---- credit cards. Lemme see, I just turned 21 and I already have 11 credit cards that I can remember. That ------' sucks balls. >:(

I have a question about credit cards. If I get one but never use it for anything. Except for mabey a bag of chips at the gas station or something one in a while. Will I get good credit for that if I pay all my bills on time? Will I get better credit if I buy more or does it not matter?

why don't you try to consolidate your debt to get rid of the insane interest charges??

And rule of thumb for everyone else, don't buy something on credit that you can't pay for within 2 months

you have to use the card to build credit. You have to have something to pay off. If you have no balance on the card for months that's not really helping. Your idea of buying chips n ---- and paying it off at the end of the month is a good idea. Heck you could buy a playstation game and pay it off over 3 months. But don't get too 'happy'.

On your credit report it shows your highest balance, your current balance, your credit limit, and if your account is in good standing. Maxing the card out and paying it off will have different effects on your credit. Some creditors look at it like you are able to pay off your debt resposibly, but some look at it like you live beyond your limits and you might be a risk. Using less than 50% of your available credit can be a good thing. Just don't go overboard. If you are able to control yourself it would be a good idea to pay for all of your daily expenses with your credit card and saving your money to pay the bill off at the end of the month. If you don't feel you can control yourself, do not do this.

yeah im paying off my cc now. As soon as i get done paying them im only using them for emergencies thats it. I rather just worry about paying my car loan at the moment

Re:debt here i come

yeah that's what I was trying to say about using it for daily expense and paying off.

And boost brings up a very good point on the percentage of balance. It is a good idea to keep under 50% of your allowed credit. Maxing out is not good, and paying all in full can also be bad. Keeping a balance is good, just don't be like me and have 9 out of 11 cards maxed out.

In the car, I just cant wait...
To pick you up on our very first date
Is it cool if I hold your hand?
Is it wrong if I think it's lame to dance?
Do you like my stupid hair?
Would you guess I didnt know what to wear?
I'm just scared of what you'll think.
You make me nervous so I really can't eat

Lets go... don't wait... this nights almost over
Honest... lets make... this night last forever
Forever and ever... lets make this last forever
Forever and ever... lets make this last forever

When you smile, I melt inside
I'm not worthy for a minute of your time
I really wish it was only me and you
I'm jealous of everybody in the room
Please dont look at me with those eyes
Please dont hint that your capable of lies
I dread the thought of our very first kiss
A target that I'm probably gonna miss

Lets go... don't wait... this nights almost over
Honest... lets make... this night last forever
Forever and ever... lets make this last forever
Forever and ever... lets make this last forever

Lets go... don't wait... this nights almost over
Honest... lets make... this night last forever
Forever and ever... lets make this last forever
Forever and ever... lets make this last forever

Forever and ever... lets make this last forever
Forever and ever... lets make this last forever

thats for you Justin :-*
