I've never heard of someone shifting into 1'st from 4th, unless that is you have muscles like the govenator.

Of course it's not turbo, the K series is loved by the all motor -----s.

its the pieces of metal that are missing, its the inside piece that got hit by the rods.

Re:Death of a K20 ( good ole boys know how to breakem)

that wasnt the tranny that broke, the starters are on backwards on these things, the crack you see is actually the block...

and the "things" he is holding in his hand, peices of piston/s

Re:Death of a K20 ( good ole boys know how to breakem)

ha... that reminds me of a buddy that had a ls/vtec that could rev to 10-11k rpm all day long, and one day took it out, punched it and instead of shifting into 3rd, it went into first. Sucked for his motor.

Re:Death of a K20 ( good ole boys know how to breakem)

If you get some money for wat ever reason, get a K20 from da new CRV and swap it in with your rsx tranny.

wait never mind thats if you can get a hold of one.

Let me take that back, only got 160 hp.
but hey it is a 2.4L compared to rsx's 2.0L

Re:Death of a K20 ( good ole boys know how to breakem)

Re:Death of a K20 ( good ole boys know how to breakem)

You have to be a real ass monkey to blow one of those up....i was ------- around with my sisters last night. In fourth at maybe 90-100ish and some jerk off popped into my lane in front of me, so i slammed it into 3rd cause i didn't realize i was going that fast and the rpms shot right up to 75ish 8 and nothing happened.....if i did that and nothing happened this guy must smoke rock.
Moral of the story:
Don't smoke crack and blow up expensive K series engines

Re:Death of a K20 ( good ole boys know how to breakem)

Ha, can you say "long block" lol, I'd take it to the dealer, Acura had a problem with the valve springs in the RSX's, to weak. Obviously he miss-shifted but I have read people getting their engines replaced under factory warranty. Supposivly the patch is a updated s2000 valve springs.

It's definatly worth a shot before you rip the fucker apart in your driveway, lol..

Jeff
