dealership owned

Hah, on my way to Staples today, I drove by a used car dealership that usually has a bunch of riced up vehichles for sale. They obviously focus more on the younger crowd. Anyway I drove by and noticed one of their Eclipses sitting on the ground with all 4 wheels gone. Haha I drive back and saw there was a jack on one side and a rock on the other side. Someone jacked the wheels. I remember this thing having some 17" Chrome spoke wheels.
I got some pictures of it but my camera is acting up and I'm having trouble loading them. They endud up being shitty pics anyway because I thought the dealership was closed... they weren't. Next thing I knew they came out and started asking me why I was taking pictures and ----. :P So I had to explain politely instead of telling him I thought it was funny someone jacked your wheels. I mean, the area is right on the highway and theres houses all around the dealership :-\ How the theives got away with it and not get caught is beyond me.

I think it's funnier that someone would want 17" chrome wheels.

I say it was 2pac that stole them. :)

I saw the same thing at a dealership right down the road from me. It was a lifted Jeep and they actually got some pretty nice wheels and tires. They used some shady ass jacks.

I hate those little mom and pop dealers. They allways want to much for their P.O.S cars :-\.Most of them have out of state salvage titles.

hah, thats kind of what I told the Arabian guy who was probably the owner. he came out and wanted to know why I was taking pictures. :-X Probably asked me five times so I said, " I come by here everyday and can't beleive someone would do this"! Supposedly the police are looking for whoever did it but you know how it alway's turns out. Someone got an early Christmas present. I don't even think they've got cameras there.

---- yea they used some shady ass jacks, did you expect some cheap ass theiving fuckers to leave behind good jacks?!?! Those fucks prolly stole the jacks too :-\

tranceminister 12-19-2004 05:50 PM

Re:dealership owned

Nah, they're just spare tire jacks that came out of other cars... Of corse they arent stolen and neither were the cars :-X ;)

Re:dealership owned

It would be funny if they used the jack from the Eclipse to steal its own rims, lol. :P

The dealership that I got my car from has all their keys out in the open.. you could easily break in from one of the two businesses next door (they're all interconnected), walk into his office, and steal all the keys. Probably the cheapest car there now is about $5k, so that'd be pretty bad if about 20 people were involved in it :-X

Re:dealership owned

I used to work for an Audi/Porsche dealer and almost on a monthly basis they would steal OEM rims. One day i came in to see a brand new Audi A8 sitting in the mud then the next mourning at our Oldmobile dealer a customers Aurora on some rocks taken fromt he parking lot. For some reason the owners didnt care to hire security or cameras and just ate the cost all the time. And Audi rims are not cheap even at cost the amout we replaced was not cheap.

Re:dealership owned

haha, Why? What makes people do this stuff? After I told the dealership guy why I took the pictures he started telling me someone attempted to rip one of the front bumpers off one of their cars not too long ago too. It was a bodykit piece so instead of popping the hood and undoing the screws, they just ripped it off and it was broken :-\ WTF good is stuff like that going to do people?

Trance, that dude in your avatar looks like Mick Foley rocking out with some headphones on! lol. We never have any kind of this ---- happening around here in WI where I'm from. I just jack stuff from the junkyard that they would rape me on like connectors, wiring and little ----. They don't even care since I still bring ---- up to pay for and they give it to me for free anyways :P.

lol some people i knew got caught after stealing like 10 sets of those (when they came out on the newer ex's) and selling them...the cops made them come up with either the wheels or the retail cost for them lol

Re:dealership owned

It doesn't happen alot out here. I doubt they will get jacked anways. Anybody interested in Hondas out here wants a set of 20" spinners, not stock Si rims. I wish I could find one of those fucks and trade him a set of 18" ricer rims for the stock Si rims. ;D

So they'd just go steal the rims back from the people they sold them to?

Re:dealership owned

well the thing was that they stole those and a bunch of wheels for s-10s (which they sold online), so they couldnt really get them all back. I honestly dont know how they didnt end up in jail

Yea, I knew a guy that was cleaning his Mark III conversion truck back in the day, he sprayed this wheel cleaner on them and found out later it was not diluted and it ruined the finish on the rims. He and a friend waited till it got dark, walked behind some buildings to a supply house, "borrowed" a few cinder blocks, removed the wheels and left the truck sitting on blocks. They went out, came back like 4 hours later and called the cops because somebody "stole his wheels". Those 15" X 10" wheels were expensive back then, lol. Glad I wasn't involved ;)

about 6 months ago the dealership i work at almost had some wheels stolen. it was a late model grand am gt with the chrome wheels. we had one of the detail guys pull the car around to clean it up and the driver's rear wheel fell right off. someone had taken all the lugnuts off the car so they could come back later for the wheels. you should have seen the guys face when it happened...it was awesome, we were all telling him that he was going to be fired for screwing up the car and ----.

Re:dealership owned

That's a lot like my buddy. He had his '98 Subaru 2.5 RS at a shop gettin' some work done to it (forgot what it was). Little did he know that someone must have tried to take his 17" Konig Imagine's off cuz when my buddy left the shop to take the car home, he got out onto the main drag and ---- started fallin' off. His left front wheel came the hell off, and he turned into the curb to the right to stop, and he found that the lugs were loosened on the same side of the car on the rear. Quick car + no wheels = hard to stop. Hehe

Thanks to the shop's insurance, he got a new set of rims and new body work, as it did a nice number to his fenders, as the rim tucked up far into the fender well... Oh yeah, he got a newer model bumper out of it too, changed the look for the better. :)

The shop owner found another car, which was parked next to my buddy's, also will loose lugs... Someone was goin' to make away with some nice rims, only musta got spooked.
