Never seen such a thing but i know with cannantennas you have to actually connect the cannantenna to teh wireless card via a tiny coax. so do you have a USB dongle just jabbed through a wire grease splash thingy or is it actually attached to the USB somehow?

I dont get how a wiremesh dish will help a plastic USB dongle unless you got them wired together or someshit.

Re: Dan's new CDM HMT wireless dish.

The wiremesh reflecta signal at the antenna of the dongle. It's the exact same way every dish works... the dish isn't an antenna it's a reflector, the antenna is stuck on a stick in front of the dish.

DANNOG I can't see any pics on my phone, do you have pics showing gains in signal strenght? If not give a tasty anecdote to create a mental picture. Bitch.

Where's that Biachi Fixedqueer you were going to get?

Re: Dan's new CDM HMT wireless dish.

I would never buy a fixie. I would like frame with some track dropouts through so I don't have to run a lame ass chain chain tensioner.

Weld some on. That's what me and my friend are doing, and powdercoating old frames. Sell to hipsters for profit.

I actually might go pick a FILA mountain bike today (supposedly rebadged fuji?)

That bike you linked me to didn't come with a flipflop.

You act like I don't have freewheels laying around.

I've been looking for a new frame for awhile. I can't find anything worth a ----.

ok nogs / hipster queers, the hubs are 1970's vintage campy track hubs, high flange, 120mm spaced, in original condition, complete with surface oxidisation....

i have a hipster ride as well, pics coming later.

the result of the wireless dish thing is as follows...

before dish =~ 24Mbps and 2/5 bars signal strength, sometimes drop out
with dish = pegged at 54Mbps and 5/5 bars signal strength, rock solid signal. :)

router is a netgear wgr614v7 4 port / wifi sitting on a desk 12 meters away, and through 7 plaster walls in my house, it only has a 3" antenna...

overall im happy with the results of the dish, so kain's uber big pR0n pics load quickly now!
