basicly what it says.. i keep getting pulled over for 10 over when my speedo says im doing like 5 over.. (not on purpose, i just always happen to go that fast around cops) is there anywhere anyone knows of that will test my speedo?... im sure if i took that to the court they would drop it as long as its proven to be off.. i hope.. thanks

Get a buddy w/ a stock tire/rim setup and have them drive 30 mph. If your speedo says 30 and you're going faster than them, you're screwed.

There's a rim/tire/gear calculator on Miata.net or something like that. Try that maybe?

You aren't gonna get off by proving your own speedometer is off, you're going to seal the case. :P

i only have 15's on my CRX. LS webbs.. thats just retarded though, how am i supossed to know if my speedo is off right after i do an engine swap?... damn cops, always ruining my day lol

I noticed a slight difference in my speedo when I put the LS webs on my Hatch. Not 10mph though. Did you also swap trannies when you did the swap? Maybe the speed sensor in the tranny is different.

I dont know if you have them around you, but cops always put up those big mobile speed detectors on the sides of the road. Just keep driving past one of them to check your speedo.

i tried that in court with a different car, they told me that its not a valid way of checking the speed. ridiculous, the court system in washington is messed up. they tell you to get your car adjusted at a shop with a speed calibrater.. yet they cant tell me where i can do that at, just state "thats not my problem" and hand me the ticket.. and i was doing slightly over, not that much.. but damn.. all this for 5 over ! and now i face losing my license.. kinda sucks cause ive been driving nice! mostly.. haha and when i do get a ticket.. im not intending to speed.. i just happen to not pay attention at the wrong time i guess.. i need to become a lawyer so i can fight my own case in court or something, damn i dunno.. maybe i should get a radar jammer or something hah

In Nevada, if yoyu get a ticket for speeding and get a written statement from a mechanic saying that it was because your speedo was off, they will waive it
