You walk in, and they have a greddy section over here, a HKS section of there, once you get over there you'll realize how different a car culture japan really has. Alot of old buisnessmen driving skylines with big rims. Everything is turbo, you'll hear BOVS everywhere you go. and frank, its not so much the process of getting your car inspected over there, it's the cost.
But the cost of maintenance sounds like it does suck. Is it really that bad?

Sounds cool, we'll all be looking for the 4 sale threads to pop up. 
I remember when I was in Germany we had to get our cars inspected. We couldnt have any leaking fluids either so we always went to the car wash right before the inspection place. We would spray down the underside of our cars with the high pressure hose to wash away all the oil and crap. Quickly drive over to get inspected before it started leaking again and we'd pass. lol
