After blowing two trannys in a week,I'm about to sell my D16+turbo setup to go B18.I was wondering if anybody has shipped a D16 and remembers the weight?I'm guessing around 150lbs + - 40 lbs.

 

a longblock no way its 150. if you plan on shipping with fedex or ups you have to break it down. Freight is your friend w/ complete motors

 

might wanna go with that +40 there...

 

I was guessing but maybe my arms aren't very accurate.Im gonna be shipping it with a carrier via truck freight on a pallet.I think its a little heavy for UPS/Fedex.It cant be more than 200lbs though because I can pick one up out of the truck and pack it a few feet into the garage.

 

I had a block shipped to me via FedEx, said 150 pounds on the sticker.

 

long block is 220 lbs, depending on what is still hanging off it.......

Try picking one up off the ground and loading it into a pick-up, I did it once..........never gonna try that again!

I've unloaded B18B's from the bed onto the ground without dropping.........again.......never gonna try that again!

 

Ive packed a few in my day but only pick it up shuffle to the truck and in.I picked up some 454 heads the other day and I think the pair weighed as much as a D16!Thanks for the info now I can get a quote.
