d15y8 what the hell is that!

Who here knows what a d15y8 motor is?? IM trying to figure out what car it came from, and what years they were made through. If anyone could help

not sure, maybe you mean a d16y8. But the y part tells me thats its probably from a 6g civic.

D16y5's are 6g HX engines, with Vtec-E

my guess would be a d15 from a 4th or 5th gen civic with a d18y8 head on it. basically a mini me.

to my understanding all of the newer civics 6th gens that cary the y designation are all d16's
