Default Custom driveshafts (FWD)

If you guys want a stronger gearbox and can't find any driveshafts that will fit your car/gearbox combo... are there any shops that can shorten and balance a set of FWD driveshafts? And what would be the cost of that?

Maybe they would just cut the end off, cut new splines, reinstall CV joint and not need balancing?

(Going for a tougher gearbox in my car that's gonna be turboed soon... but can't find matching shafts, so I was wondering if it would be feasible to have a set shortened)
