$50 really ain't that bad.

Although, I woulda just went with a better brand to begin with.

Fortunately my car is too slow to require anything beefy.

Well since you guys keep mentioning going with another option, id like some opinoins.Im assuming there is alot more aftermarket options for hondas, but this will be going on a probe gt with a v6.I wouldnt mind changing companies after this is all settled, but what should i look for? I called the tech line and they are going to replace it for free but i have to pay shipping.Ill just throw it up for sale right away and start with something more durable.

don't try to sell it here, you just fucked that deal. no one here is gonna buy it with this thread.

i did something like that on a local forum. posted a bunch of problems i was having with my turbo crx. after i fixed them all i posted it for sale on that forum.
i didn't post that i fixed all the problems.
everyone was ------- with me about it. i was pissed.

Sounds to me like THEY fucked up. A lightened flywheel should be DESIGNED to take some heat, taking into consideration the thermal expansion of both the aluminum and the steel, so the starter ring doesn't slip.

That's probably a design flaw. I would call them out on it.

Stay away from multiple piece flywheels.

my buddy had this happen on his competition twin disk. they wouldnt even repair it they made him buy a new flywheel for $250.

be happy with what the offered.
