This CRX worth 2K?

I'm in the market for a new CRX, that has zero damage. Been really looking for 91 si, but i beleive this guy's price is a bit high for a decent condition rex (front end damage). What do you guys think?

i say no, not worth it. In my opinion the only thing that would even make it somewhat worth it is the clean interior, but the small rip devalues that. I don't like how the suspension is so high, makes me think they just put some springs in it rather than the proper stock ones. It's not in tip top shape as you stated. I'd say 1500 would be a fair price, just cause it has a y8, provided that it wasn't hacked up to put it in. Plus there looks like there is some rust in the engine bay by the hood hindge on the passenger side. If that is more than surface rust, than I'd go to your 1200 offer.

i sold an 86 crx with crappy paint and it got 18 mpg for 1800 what are the other prices of crx's because there is a 88 crx hf around here for 3500 so i think it really depends on the area

It all depends on the time of the year/gas prices. Around the holidays, you can find a 92 hatch running for less than 800, or anytime after school starts up again. Since gas prices have gone up, so have prices :'(. The quest continues for a new CRX.

that would be a great price in mn, I don't know how much they sell for in texas but its nearly impossible to find a rust free rex up here and if you do they usually want over 3k

i have been looking for a rex that around 1500 for the past 6 months and haven't been able to find one. i have given up and am just getting a motorcycle and keeping my hatch.

I'd say it depends on weather it truly has front end damage or weather or not its just shitty aligment of the panels wich isn't that hard to deal with. Up here in the NE even with a little bit of rust 2k is not at all an unfair price for an Si in reasonably good condition.

It has front end damage, the radiator support is bent to hell, bumper is misaligned and fenders are going crazy. Also it's missing a radiator support :P. About the only thing that's keeping me from going to see this car is the fact it doesn't have any A/C. It gets super duper hot in the summer. >:D



Ran a carfax and the car is originally from pensylvannia, explains the rust :X.

No way for 2k. I got mine for $2500 with a B16 and no rust. Provided it had some front end problems as well and no interior...the B16 makes up for it.

A Y8? That's ------- weak sauce. Quick CRX my ass. Add some boost and then we'll talk about 2k.

Hopefully the price stays low, because it looks like it's worth the 3 hr drive :D.

Cars are so expensive in the US, ----!!!...I mean in some states you guys pay up to 2.5K for an EF civic, hell for 3K you can get a clean EG here or maybe even an EK for around 4K if youre lucky...no wonder ya'll arent allowed to buy cars from canada and bring them over there, your government owns you.

I know of 3 clean CRX's with 150k+ miles and they're asking $4k each for them.

Damn, CRX's like that one from the forum sell here for $500-800. Same thing for the one of ebay. The highest would probably be around $1500. Now if it is mint with a swap, you can start going up.

My bro-in-law got his for $500, HF, but who cares, it is lighter. Swaps go in and out in a matter of hours.

I would like to get one, but clean inside and out. Engine could be blown, but the body has to be mint.

ok that car is no where near worth $2k.

1. Front end is damaged and the fix was half asses (hood/bumper colour does not match, and the corner lights are 88/89)
2. Rear fender has start of rust, but higher up is off white = bondo.
3. pass door has what looks like BAD rust near the back under the trim.
4. Couldnt get a pic of the drivers side, ya. ok.
5. rust by hood hinges.
6. ripped drivers seat
7. gay exhaust

maybe 1300 at most if it runs/drives well.

Bring a magnet with you, run it over the spots that are known for rust (Bondo searching) before you pay this mofo. Look under the car where the seams are for rust also.

i have the divider that is missing if you want to buy. it's in decent shape considering its the original from my 88 Si. The rear carpet was cut away.

I guess $1600 is a good deal in your area so good for you. If you feel good about the price then you are good. But I don't think is that mint. Either way have fun with it.

It's mint under the consideration of the fact that you can't find stock crx's anymore at least one that isn't in bad condition. Ran carfax and everything looks fine on the car. As for rust, we dont get rust in texas : P

We don't get rust in Florida either, except for the snowbirds that bring their cars down here, and sell them before going back up. For the most part you want to buy florida cars.

aaaahhh, ---- off. its so damn hard to find any honda where im from rust free. thats why i paid $1200 for my shell. orignaly a california car. :6
