CRX transformation *56k no no*
My crx went through the final transformation this weekend.
Here is the begining.
The night before getting painted.
The process.
Primer is being applied onto repair surfaces.
After first coat of paint.
The finish product, note the pearls.
.
I also painted my LS wheels which will be mounted next weekend.
The paint is from a regular in-a-can, though the clear coat is lelf-over from the car hence the pearls on the lip.
*EDIT* I did not have time to do this by myself, though I have painted several cars before. I had a friend who is a certified bodyshop worker do it, that is him doing all the work in the pictures.
Labor=free
Paint and misc items=360$
No visible rust=Priceless.

I didnt use sealer and i do not think it is neccessary. All you got to do is primer over repair surfaces, a lot of sanding, base coats then clear coats.
I used PPG primer, Omni base coats and Omni clear. Omni have shitty base coats but cost half as much as PPG or DuPont, but thier clear is really good.
