lol, well then yea, try the OE ground wire. if that doesnt work, try a DIFFERENT ground spot. Then make sure your gettin the voltage at the right times ( ignition and constant). if that doesnt work throw it off a ------ tree, (or bring it back?) lol

---- man. I test every wire and its working 100% as it should. But I think i've got it figured. My car has been sitting in the garage for 5 mo. I start it once a month or so and let her run 10-15 minutes. Well. I wired it all into the OE wiring (ground) and turned it on. Flick the headlight switch to aux ,stays on.. ok good. turn it to low beam and sure enough off it goes again. So I go back to aux lights and then back to low beams and it stays on.. WTF? go back and forth for a while and it stays on. ok, good. Then I think.. hrrmmm.. lets try something, hit the high beams on and sure enough, out she goes. I think my battery is really low on juice so the intial shock if you will that turning high powered items like headlights on drops the voltage really low really quick and then compensates and brings voltage to ok levels. So ---- it, im leavin it how it's hooked up right now until i drive it daily again and we'll see. If all else fails i'm going to go buy a nice optima

thanks for the help guys.

lol previous owner was such a dumbass he cut the plug off. You should have seen the hack job he did. The remote lead was 4 wires spliced together!

S'ok, the wiring is fine, neat and tidy. I fixed her up good.

those are the worst. ive done it countless times, wiriting down the colors o paper, then mathcing it back up, it sucks dick. the $15 harness is the greatest thing invented, people who hack it up should get beat up. glad to see its back together.

that's where I'm lucky. I dont even have to wire in the speakers. 12v, switched 12v, ground, remote 12v and 3 pairs of RCA's and I'm good to go!

system.
Sony CDXM630 head unit
Cerwin Vega 6.5" Components
Alpine Type-s 6.5 coax rear fill speakers
MTX 12" 4ohm SVC subwoofer
Eclipse 4 channel amp
Pioneer 2 channel amp (Sub amp)
Home made sub enclosure (fibreglass in spare tire well)

a little ugly but ------- pounds for 1 sub runing 150watts.

this is the old way I mounted the amps.. took it out, was a PITA, they are just bolted to the floor beside the sub now.

Maybe I'll get some new pics of the setup. Looks 100% cleaner now.

haha!

that enclosure is strong as ----. I closed the garage on it once (auto garage door closer) and it hit it, the garage went back up and there wasn't even a scratch on it!
