So like everytime I start my car I get that anoying open door bell. I have to close the door a certin way or it wont shut up. I tried removing that L shaped switch in the door jam thinking it'll solve my problem, but it did nothing. So does anybody know where the open door switch is?

i thnk the speaker that makes the sound...is attached to the panel below the steering wheel. Like where your legs sit when your driving..that panel right in front..i think its hooked to that....not sure thoe..

Pull the panel off and if there is a box rip it off...and then sound should go away

Yeah but I'll still get that anoying flashing seatbelt light that goes with it.

no no no.. that little L thingy when DEPRESSED closes the circuit . Just get to the back of it and attach the two wires together.

Wait a minute...
those L switches only have one wire, unless its different for 88-89. My 90' HF only has one wire, I know because I've replaced them trying to fix this.

If you only have one wire then just attach the wire to a ground.

Okay I guess I could try that, but is that L switch the only thing that controls the open door bell?
Cause when I removed it I noticed that my dome light wouldn't turn on when its set to turn on after a doors been open. That would suggest that the circuit is closed right, why is my bell still going off. It turns on when the passenger door is open, but not when the driver side is open.

sorry, thats what I mean.. it connects that wire to the body for ground.. so just bolt that wire to the chassis somewhere.

OH!! i know i know!

i just recently did this cuz yes its annoying as hell! you know where the seatbelt sign is? that little console thing abover your rearview mirror? Unclip that piece and remove the sensor inside. clip it back in place and ur done :P

do you have the little seatbelt lights in the center of the roof?
