104kw at the wheels is 102 hp

that is a crap figure for a d16a9, i got 163hp at the wheels @8psi on a .42.48t3

163 kilowatts = 218.586601 horsepower
you multiply by 1.34ish to get horsepower from killowatts and by .74somthing to get killowatts from horsepower.

I think you're thinking of PS (Pferdestarke) which is german for horse streingth . and is measured in metric horsepower.
