Default crx brakes

someone is selling ek civic front knuckles and hubs in the classifieds. i was wondering if this will bolt up to the front end of my 91 crx. i am sick of the horrible hf brakes and i want a descent upgrade. please help me figure out if these knuckles will fit. also if the do fit whould i just use si crx axles or would i have to use a civic ek axle? thanks for the help in advance!

Yup, They fit. You can use an Si axle. Aren't the HF axles smaller? but a Si, Dx, Ex axle should be all the same. This will give you a 10.3" brake disc. You'll need the calipers too.

I'm doing it right now on my summer car. You should also get a larger master cylinder. I have one from a 89 prelude. it has a 1/8" bigger bore. does not sound like much but a HUGE difference. Pedal slop is near gone and have next to no travel to full pedal pressure. A lot like the Brembo Gran Turismo Kit. I have felt them on a S2k and pedal feel was similar(not saying the same because you can't compare $250 junkyard big brake set up to 1200 set up)
Oh ya, I'm not sure if your gonna want a different proportioning valve. I know you do with going to rear disc. I believe it should be the same valve between all civics. I'm pretty sure Honda only made 2, one for rear disc setup and one for rear drums.

i dont think the axles from the Ef will sit right in the Eg knuckles..i read somewhere that its a tad bit different. just by a hair. maybe get the lower control arms from the EG. I think it had something to do with the distance from the Knuckle and the chassis of the car. Look into it. do a search on Here..

Not EG they are EK knuckle. EG are different. but EK. I should have read closer I though you had Ex knuckles. Like the 1.6l MPFI 4dr. The had bigger brakes and knuckle like an integra. All other honda civic 88-95 had 9.5" from rotors, expept for the b16 Del Sol I think

The Front suspension geometery of a EG an EK are different than a CRX. Just hit the junkyards there are lots of 88-91 DX/SI knuckles around, and if you get lucky you can score some 90-91 EX knuckles.
