get it started with some vice grips, finish it off with a .22

The way to do is is with a propane torch and solder. Ive been doing it since i was 12 and it always holds better than crimping.

Yeah, that's what i do with my 00 gauge connectors...good luck trying to find a set of crimpers or a vise that'll do them. Oh, and another trick for the 4 guage that i've done (especially if the wire is already in the car) is use a set of bolt cutters that are dull, or smash it in a flat spot with a sledge hammer
