It started out as the stock vents plastic.

trance - yep it was a success..well kinda. Basically I converted the LM-1 mainboard output to a female DB-25 cable (printer cable) and put DB-25 male connectors on both the stock screen, and the remote screen so when you want to switch 'em you just unplug one and plug in the other. Lemme know if that didnt make sense, guess that was kinda vague

nope. Its just spray paint (adhesion promoter, primer, and some kind of bumper paint). Unfortunatly it came out a tad too glossy but overall I'm pretty pleased with how it came out. Not like it's going in a show-car or anything anyways. Maybe I'll try some of that crinkle paint. I got another heater vent plastic laying around.

Oh yeah. The dash in the car is from a 90-91. The heater plastic is from an 88-89. I didnt know until I was almost finished that the 88-89 had a smaller heater vent plastic piece than the 90-91's. Weird huh? So theres a little gap.

As far as getting the thing to stay put, it stays in there pretty good by itself, but I'm gonna figure out something this weekend to make it stay in better. I havent driven the car in about 6 weeks or so and probably won't get a chance to make it roadworthy for another 2-4 weeks

I used silicone around the edges for mine. It works fairly well, but I'll probably redo it another way this summer.
