remember when I posted up about using a chipped crank pulley? well since I did not use the chipped one, and the original ls pulley did not allow me to run PS, I decided to use a b16 pulley, in results I could not get my cam timing adjusted. I just could not get it there without turning the dizzy to max advance, so I just center it and leaving it like that.

I finally got the correct pulley but it aint installed yet. the ls pulley is a lot bigger than the b16. is it possible that the b16 pulley was what causing the timing reading to be off.

No, they are all indexed the same... unlike D-series. Your ---- is fucked.

Head/deck milled much?

head is milled .040 and block is milled .010 I bought .051mm cometic head gasket I just havent installed it yet, I thought that would also caused my problems but my boy was telling me its the pulley thats causing it. hope the gasket will fix it

Thirty thousandths will throw it off some. That's a lot to take off head or block.... why??

Center your distributor, and start turning cam gears until you can hit correct base ignition time. Remember cam timing X 2 = crank (ignition) timing.

I bought the head used from a guy who built it for a NA car, it has .5mm ferrea valves and a full port and polish and 5 angle valve job with crower springs and retainers for $700 I could not turn it down. I am also using crower turbo cams with the intake advanced 3 degrees.

3 degrees intake cam offset = 6 degrees crank timing offset you have to dial out @ distributor.

You running racegas everywhere you go to make over 500whp, or spinning 9500+? If not, turbo cams aren't worth fooling with IMO.

I run race gas everytime I get the chance, I rev to 9100rpm, and I am pretty sure I am making over 450whp, and 500whp is my goal, the crower cams arent mine, but contrary to what everyone is saying about them, out of all the cams I used they are the best, I have a set of GSR which are my primary ones, they feel too soft, a set of b16 cams useless. a set of skunk 2 very nice top end and vtec engagement, but no mid range power. the crowers have power all through the rpms,

I love them and if someone will trade me set of crower for my GSR I would be happy, crowers are great.

I dont get why you think the crank pulley is causing your problems though

.050" is a good bit to be milled off though

Whens this gasket getting installed?

the car is in the shop getting a paint job, as soon as it comes out I will install it.
the reason why, is because my friend was saying it would cause it to be off because they are 2 different sizes. hopefully it will solve the problem when I install the new gasket, and by then I will reinstall the gsr cams, and see if I can do some cam gear adjustment to get something out of them, I just dont get why people think they are better than crower, they feel just like b16 cams.
