The whole top end of my 1st car was Crane products. Its a shame that a company like that bit the dust. Hopefully it'll reopen under a different name and sell the same quality products it's always provided.

They have way to many proven products for the stuff just to vanish. Now the issue is are the designs sent to China and done by inferior machines/materials.

This is exactly what will happen as who is going to buy them? Not alot of cheddar left in the good ole USA. Some chinese wing ping will come out with Super Crane Cams! Certain chinese products such as NORINCO http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norinco , http://www.norincoequipment.cn/index_English.jsp , make some of the best weapons, such as 1911 etc. There 1911 uses 5100 alloy vs 4140,4100. Many still look for a nork 1911 me included for my one off 1911.

There is plenty of stuff that is done over in china/tawain that is solid but the price tag shows it. All the develoment the BRAIN of the work is done here which they cant really get right over there but they do copy ----.

Crane cams are ----. Always will, always have been.

The only thing i ever use from them are their roller rockers.

A guy I know is using their cams for his V-8 build. I'm surprised to see them going down.
