First of all I want to thank you for your interest for my bike. I am selling it at this price ($2200) because I just finished the divorce with my husband. When the divorce has finished i own this bike. Now as a woman i don't need it. This bike is in excellent working condition, no scratches, flaws or any kind of damage, slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions and comes with a clear title, 3 months transferable warranty. From the beginning you have to know that for the payment I request only secure pay, I prefer the payment to be done using eBay services. We will use a safe payment method because I am affiliated at eBay and I have a purchase protection account for $20,000. The final price that I want for this bike is $2200 US including shipping and handling. If you are interested please let me know. |

Re: craigslist scams lol
So are you near Columbus, GA? I might be moving back there in a couple months. Lived there for 14 years.
Huntsville, AL is much better though, so probably will end up staying around here :6 There's always scams everywhere that it's possible to scam people. Someone kept putting up listings selling boa |
Re: craigslist scams lol

Re: craigslist scams lol
Its obviously a scam, craigslist is for buying things locally and with cash, anyone mentions shipping and payment with any other form than cash, its a scam. And 2200 for a 05 gsxr is insanely cheap even if its salvage, i'd think its a scam right off the bat, unless it had some major damage like a cracked frame.

Ps if you send me a check for 1000 dollars to nigeria my rich uncle will send you 50000 it sounds about right....possibly middle aged women in a divorce....she is gonna try and suck him dry(ex. the bike) and how many middle aged women do you see on bikes....not many....she just wants the cash....as far as the GA listing...she might have listed it in every area in hopes of a quicker sale. not saying that i would write the check based on that email....but i would try to fish more out of her. its a possibility either way |

and seriously send my uncle in Nigeria 1000 dollars and he will send you 100000 back, it is an inheritance that he can't give anyone else and you have the same last name. It is your lucky day. |
Re: craigslist scams lol
oh seriously....oh wow!
still say send her an email via that website. and if she denies it then there is no worry over it... |
Re: craigslist scams lol
I think that there should be some kind of verification.
Even just a simple verified address kept by craigslist on file in the event of a scam. Like an address verification through credit card or something. I think that it would reduce at least a little of the scamming. |
Re: craigslist scams lol
Thats a scam....plain and simple. I have one going on right now...I'm trying to get that fake check from nigeria so I can see what that ---- looks like. Fucker listed a 1950's strat in original mint condition for 2200. If that is really the case....it should be more like 50k+ depending. I told him I'm rich and I'll pick up anywhere in the world....he told me his uncle died and it was at his estate in BC. I told him I'll be there in a few days....then he was like...it was sent to him in Russia now. Either way...I want that mutha fucken check! I'll see what happens.

Re: craigslist scams lol
This is what I do to find out if it is a scam or not. If I see something thats just too unreal, and looks like a real good deal, I send them a guy with a middle finger. That's it! Nothing else, not a word, not even a letter. Just a FU guy! When the person/scammer sees it, they're gonna write back with only one of two similar replies: a) "I'm still fighting in Iraq and my car is in Canada, if you send money into my account in China, I will have my shipping company in Europe ship the car from Peru to your house in England in 90 days." b) "What the ----?" If the reply you get is (a) or similar, the fuckers are scammers! If the reply you get is (b) or similar, the fuckers are legitimate! All I did was sent them a FU guy that gave them the middle finger... so how the hell did they know I was asking about that certain item? Not just any product, but that specific one. I guess I've been able to come to a conclusion that scammers makes thousands of account on Craigslist everyday, one email per one account, that is why they are able to give you so much informations on one product that answers tons of your questions and more within the first reply even when you send them a bogus email that makes no sense. Try it!! If you get a reply of (b) or similar, then write back and apologize. |
Re: craigslist scams lol
If that ---- was real that bitch could roll that bike to the end of her driveway, slap a for sale $2200 sign on it and have cash in 5 min. The only way to get rid of scammers on crags is block all connections from ------ ------- africa.

Re: craigslist scams lol
i had 3 cars for sale on craigslist a month back and would get several emails a day which were all phrased the same way. something like "i am very pleased with the condition of this item and will be sending a certified check. i send someone for the pickup...etc etc etc" there shady as hell. once i started getting more and more of these i just started replying "stop trying to scam me ass hat"
