the only score worth getting on craigslist is usually the one that you catch just as it was posted and get there within 15 minutes. Ive been burned multiple times simply because in the time it took me to drive to buy something, someone closer snatched it up. F5 owns craigslist

It was/is a 1998 Legacy sedan for $800asking.

http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/986642269.html

We went out this morning and checked it over. While beat, someone had taken good care of it. NEW radiator, newer alternator, MP3 playing stereo, $100 worth of extra rims in the trunk. And its a 5 speed.

But the longer we stood there looking at it and waiting for the sales guy to show up, the more I realized how little I needed an extra beater. So we walked.

What a pile. I traded my 88 Tecate4 ($350 invested) for my 89 SI hatch. That was a steal! Came with full Skunk2 coil overs, upper a-arms, rear lca's, JDM SIR conversion :S , shaved handles (yuck) 2 yes 2 y8 heads, D15B block, beat ass Z6 block, Vitara pistons, LS meshies, steel braided brake lines, slotted rotors, FMIC and some ricer seats.

Your deal is a turd :P

Damn that is a good deal, I have always wanted an 89 and up 951.

Weren't the 88 turbo S models the same? Like after 89 the turbo S was no more because they only made them that way?

Porsche memory is faded, never got into the watercooled ones...

Mine is an 86, with the turbo S (247hp) engine and turbo swapped in, which is common, and considering the owner history, I am very suspect that at one point in time this car ran in the 944 Supercup series.

86-88 turbo (217hp) K26/6 turbo
88 turbo S (250hp) K26/8
89-91 turbo (247hp) K26/8
