court notice, what to expect????

ok so i got a DUI back in 2002 and went deferred and got 5 years probation along with alot of other ---- that included 2 years alcohol treatment, 1 year ignition interlock. well i got a court summons in the mail the other day that says "sentancing" for "DUI". should i be worried or you think its the court date that they set to dismiss the case since i haven't gotten in trouble since then? ---- man i can't remember getting in any trouble or anything but who knows. just dont want to end up like old boy on here that did 160 days for probation payments.
what do you think its about? 5 year hearing or ---- me in teh corn hole hearing?

Re: court notice, what to expect????

sounds like the 5yr hearing. Have you gone in to see your probation officer when you were supposed to? I know friends that never went to see their officer cause they thought they were off already and they recieved a hearing notice. They were just given another 6months probation for it but they're lucky.

if you're that worried take a lawyer in with you. It really shouldn't cost that much cause they're just making an appearance. Actually deffinately take a lawyer in with you, couple hundred now is much cheaper then getting fucked into sentencing you shouldn't have.

And ignition interlocks blow. My car always breaks down right before I'm supposed to go get it 'serviced' so it'll work for another month. Just spun a bearing last night and I'm scheduled friday, ----.

Deferred means they put it off five years to make sure you haven't been an asshat. DEFINITELY dig out your paperwork on it to make sure you don't get screwed by some filing error, but 95% you have nothing to worry about.

Hey, sounds like you learned your lesson if you've kept your nose clean for five years. Props.

I wouldn't worry about the court thing you have coming up btw. Like JD said, when the Judge sees that you have been on the straight and narrow for this long they are going to say good job now gtfo of here.

IMO it is to "legally" remove you from probation.

That's what I meant to say the first time around

Watch a lot of Judge Judy and take notes.

FYI - if she gives you the ole "dont piss on my shoes and tell me it's raining" you're fucked.

Re: court notice, what to expect????

ya if the judge notices you been clean for 5 years and did all the ---- they ask there usually really nice and you get out fast and easy. i was suppose to be on probation for 2 years for eluding the police, got it droped to wreckless driving had a fine, had 240 hours of community service and wasnt suppose to get any tickets. well i got all that ---- done after getting arrested for a warrent because i didnt know i was suppose to pay the fine every month i thought i had a year. and after that they droped my probation period and i was done with shitty ass court. ---- i hated that.

Yah, you are the only DUI success story I've heard so far on here. I know some of the others are super discreet, but the ones we keep hearing about are toolbags bitching about how they keep getting busted for driving without a license, etc, Jerry Springer ----. Congrats for taking responsibility and learning the lesson. I ever meet you I'm buying you beer + a cab home.

Re: court notice, what to expect????

it was 241 days i was sentenced for probation violation, jfyi

but you sound like you are in the clear. but just to be sure i would call the court clerk and ask wtf is up, and your p.o. too. at least go in with a heads up, and make sure BEFORE you get there that you arent a vicitm of paper/filing error. they will lock you up until they figure out the mistake and then "apologize" for it.

I got a DUI 5 years ago as well. Unlike you, I didn't follow the rules. After 2 years they finally revoked my probation and I did 21 days in the Whatcom County clinker. What a cesspool that place was. Scabby Indians and toothless white trash everywhere. I got in a brawl my 2nd day there because I told this glob of fail to STFU. I got his blood on me and seriously thought I got infected with Ebola or similar. It also earned me the remainder of my sentence in solitary. That was real great ::).

i've been a guest in many jails, including solano county (vallejo, ca) and the oakland city jail, and i have to say that whatcom county was the worst of all of them. not only that, but they take 100$ from your cash as a booking fee. wtf is that?

Those pig fuckers take whatever they can. I came in with $320 and left with a check for exactly $5.02! They claimed booking fees and other nonsense. That hole they had me in was insane. All for defending myself against some toothless fag got who was yelling all damn day. Just because I folded his ass when he tried to rush me didn't mean I was the aggressor. They thought otherwise and put me in a rubber room with a grate in the floor that smelled like Satan's cum riddled -------. For such a hippy ass democratic town they sure have one hellacious jail. They do have a new jail now for non-felons which is way cleaner, but we'll see how long that lasts.

Re: court notice, what to expect????

i think they make up the booking fee's becasue i went to jail several times in the exact same jail. and the first time i went they charged me for the booking fee, and the other two times they didnt. the second time i went i made sure i took all my money out of my wallet, because i knew they were coming to pick me up. the key to keeping your money is staying out of trouble with the law, no tickets, no court=money in the bank shorty what you drank haha i hate that song
