couple quick questions for the crx'ers out there

1. my sun roof recently stop working on one side? the dirver side of the roof closes all the way, but the passenger side doesnt, its still open. theres a nice gap, i would say like half an inch...water doesnt get in tho

2. my 90 crx got totalled. would it be possible to take off the entire susp.strut on my 90 and put it on an 89. or could i jsut take off my coil overs on the 90 and slap them on the 89?

Grease up, and clean out your track on teh sunroof, biggest problem right there. that should fix that.

As for the 90-89 suspension swap, i think its all teh same, should swap over fine, the 88's rear was diff, but the 89-91 are all the same. All you need to do is swwap teh coilover setip, no need to swap everything else.

ok cool man..so i should just swap out the coil overs and not the whole strut? and second...i should just grease up the rails and stuff...wd-40? or actual grease

Unless your struts are 100% freaking blown, just swap the coilovers. I'd use WD-40 first and see if it works.

i had the same exact problem... word for word... with my sunroof. turns out the right side cord that pulls it was stripped. it would slip when it got to a certain point, and wouldnt fully close. no water leaked in, but it was a hassle cuz it didnt work out. i was just gonna take the whole thing out and make it a glass window

yellowcrx6...so if i try lubing up the rails and stuff and it still doesnt close, then its the cord? how much do you guys think this will cost to get fixed?

or could i jsut force the sunroof down till it closes? or would that mess ---- up?

If it ends up being the cord slipping, just try and "help" it close, and see if it closes then. Other than that, just wd40 the rails to loosen up the grime, wipe em out, then throw some thicker grease on there to keep um "moist", lol...

I have the same problem with my sunroof. I haven't fixed it yet but I took the whole thing apart and determined that it's one of the rear stoppers that is broken. When the sunroof gets to that part of the track where it hits the stoppers and pulls down, it goes past the stopper and doesn't pull down. If I manually pull it while closing it, it works fine.

The stopper is $6.20 at a honda dealership. the part # is 70323-sh2-010

i would def say clean it all up then keep it "moist" lol. i ripped mine apart twice, and it eneded up being the cord. my friend had a small stick caught in his, and that fixed his problem haha
